Zimplats has spent $34m so far on a 45MW Phase 2A solar plant, on track for completion in the first half of its 2027 financial year, doubling its installed solar capacity to 80MW.
Implats confirmed it is evaluating three potential Zimbabwean growth projects, the Hartley Complex, Darwendale and Karo Platinum, alongside its existing Zimplats and Mimosa operations.
Zimplats reported after-tax profit of $143.7m for the six months to December 2025, a 3,376% jump, as 6E production rose 13% and average metal prices increased 66%.
