
Lamb returned to lead Lucara after an earlier decade as its chief executive that ended in 2018; in the interim he ran his own consultancy and was a partner at NewGen Resource Lending. He began his career at Rand Mines and held technical roles at De Beers. His main task is completing the delayed underground expansion of the Karowe mine in Botswana, funded in part by a planned placement with Lundin family interests.
