Hemburrow joined Paladin as chief operating officer in February 2023 and was promoted to managing director and chief executive in September 2025. He previously ran Aurizon's Central Queensland Coal Network and spent 17 years at Rio Tinto and eight at BHP. His main African asset is the restarted Langer Heinrich uranium mine in Namibia, and he presented Paladin's 2026 financial-year results in August.
