Terrab has been chairman and chief executive of Morocco's state-owned phosphate and fertiliser group OCP since 2006, and was elected president of the International Fertilizer Association in 2019. A former adviser to King Hassan II, he spent 2026 steering OCP through the fertiliser supply shock caused by conflict in the Middle East and disruption around the Strait of Hormuz.
