Diversified South African mining group founded in 2003 by Patrice Motsepe through a merger of his mining interests, making him one of the first black industrialists to control a major JSE-listed miner. Motsepe remains its non-executive chairman.

ARM holds interests spanning PGMs on the Bushveld Complex, a 50% stake in the Assmang iron ore and manganese joint venture, coal mines in Mpumalanga, and copper and nickel projects, with some operations extending into Zambia and the DRC.
